Leeupoort Vakansiedorp is located within a proclaimed nature reserve and consists of approximately 1,200 residential plots with approximately 550 residents who live here permanently. The town has dirt roads and the speed limit in Leeupoort is 25 km/h.

An entrance fee per person per day applies for the use of the Leeukrans swimming pool and is payable at the shop. Take away meals and drinks can be ordered from Leeukrans bar and restaurant and there are also braai facilities, tables and chairs by the pool.
The shop at Leeukrans provides the basic necessities and sells among other things, Boskos; with which you can feed the variety of animals and wildlife.
The liquor store at Leeukrans is a retail store that supplies Leeupoort Vakansiedorp with alcoholic beverages.
Leeukrans restaurant is à la carte and also has a full bar with a variety of non-alcoholic and alcoholic drinks. The menu offers a variety of starters, main courses, desserts, and provision is made for breakfast, lunches, and light meals.
Eden is a place of blissful silence between the trees where you can sit quietly on a bench and enjoy nature. From the "Jukskei"-courts you walk south over the little bridge to get to Eden.
The town's dam, also known as the Duck Dam, is located in Clivia path. There is a bench under a canopy where you can sit and enjoy the natural beauty while watching the wildlife come to drink water.
The sunset lookout is located on the corner of Kieriklapper and Karee paths. It's here where you can enjoy beautiful Bushveld sunsets and just revel in the palpable silence that reigns around you.
At the lookout point in the 823 Ha nature reserve you can look far over the Bosveld in Thabazimbi's direction. The road is very rocky and can be approached slowly by an ordinary car, although a 4x4 vehicle is recommended. The breathtaking view does make up for the road.
The largest Weeping Tree (Peltophorum africanum) in South Africa is located in the 823 Ha nature reserve in Leeupoort Vakansiedorp. The tree's branches drip water in the spring months when the foam bugs (Ptyelus grossus) suck on the branches or young shoots. Here you can sit quietly on the bench surrounded by the Bosveld scenery.
The Bosdam is located in the 823 Ha nature reserve in Leeupoort Vakansiedorp and a variety of game and bird species can be observed here. Remember that Leeupoort is a holiday town and a proclaimed nature reserve - fishing and hunting are strictly prohibited.
For walking, jogging and running enthusiasts, Leeupoort Vakansiedorp has its own Parkrun on Saturdays. This is of course a must for Parkrun fundies who want to show off all the different places they have taken part in Parkruns.
